The Maldives mobile base declines to 906,555 subscribers in October, from 907,763 in September. Mobile teledensity also decreased to 252.75 in October from 253.09 in September, according to figures from the Communications Authority of Maldives. Of the total mobile subscribes, 108,862 were postpaid subscribers, and 797,693 were prepay users.
The number of fixed telephone lines (including payphones) increased to 20,522 in October from 20,467 in September, while fixed-line teledensity also rose to 5.72 from 5.71.
Maldives’ mobile broadband subscriber base grew to 262,520 users in October from 259,323 in the previous month, while the fixed broadband user base rose to 35,922 in October from 35,856 in September.
