This administration will not marginalise anyone: President Yameen

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has reiterated that this administration will not marginalise any citizen, and that    every step taken towards the betterment of the youth is an investment for the future.

The President made these remarks while speaking at a function organised by the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM).

“The Maldives wants to become the most appealing and the most peaceful country that prioritises advancement and civilization,” the President said, adding that that “the administration’s aim is to demonstrate that civilisation and development was not only defined by concrete buildings.”

“The administration aims to establish a kind society and a people who would sustain the urban wealth of the nation,” he said. “The administration gives great importance to encourage the youth to partake in the development of the community.”

Noting the high priority accorded to good upbringing of children, the President stated that the purpose of providing all-inclusive education, without excluding any child, was to build the nextg eneration as a peace loving and patriotic one.

In his speech, the President said that the result of such measures taken by the administration would be to build a community that lives a harmonious life. He further said that the administration was working relentlessly to bring happiness and prosperity to the people, increase their wealth, and promote women’s rights.
