President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has this evening inaugurated the “Mercure Hotels Maldives Kooddoo” as part of his current visit to the North Huvadhoo Atoll islands.
Mercure Kooddoo Hotel is a resort hotel developed by Pristine Islands Investment Maldives Pvt. Ltd. The hotel is a 68 villa mid-scale resort developed on Kooddoo Island, which is a 50-minute domestic flight south of Male´.
At the ceremony, the President was presented with a plaque of appreciation by the Chairman of Pristine Islands Investment Maldives Pvt. Ltd, Mr Ronald Leo and Chairman of Hotels and Resorts Construction Pvt. Ltd Mr Mohamed Ali Janah.
A memorandum of understanding was also signed at the ceremony, between the Ministry of Tourism, Pristine Islands Investment Maldives Pvt. Ltd, and Hotels and Resorts Construction Pvt. Ltd, to create 1000 training and employment opportunities for the youth from North Huvadhoo Atoll.
