Joint opposition Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa tweeted saying he had talks with the Maldives Minister of Tourism and Vice President of the Progressive Party of the Maldives Moosa Zameer and the Maldives Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mohamed H. Shareef.

“A great discussion today with #Maldives Minister of Tourism Mr. Moosa Zameer (@MoosaZameer) and Ambassador to #SriLanka Mohamed Hussain Shareef (@mundhu_maldives),” Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, tweeted.

The talks follow discussions held between the Government and the Maldives opposition.

Former Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed recently had talks with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in Colombo.
