President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has stated that “despite the short span of relatively fast pace of changes to the Constitution and organization of State Powers, one element which has always been preserved in its original form is the Sanctity of our State” during his address to the nation on the occasion of our 49th Republic Day.
On this auspicious occasion he has called upon all State Institutions, its employees and the citizens of Maldives to ensure that the Sovereignty of the State remains inviolable under any circumstance.
