Ministry of Finance has revealed that Maldives received MVR 905 million as free aid this year.
Publicized on the weekly fiscal development report, as of 17th November, MVR 905.2 was received as free aid. In comparison, MVR 1.1 billion was received as free aid in the same period of last year.
The annual state budget of 2020 indicated that Maldives will get MVR 5.2 billion as free aid.
Meanwhile, MVR 13.6 billion was acquired by the state as income and free aid. However, the amount is lower than compared to the MVR 16.2 billion as stated in the budget.
