Visitors are also given the opportunity to experience underwater beauty of Maldives through Virtual reality.

MMPRC’s statement said that they hope that TTG Incontri would increase the popularity of Maldives in the Italian market as well as increase the number of arrivals and reach their targets for the Italian market.

TTG Incontri is Italy’s leading tourism trade fair and among the top five in Europe; the key event for the tourism sector and the main marketplace to sell tourism products, network, win new business, exchange views and to explore new ideas. They currently have amassed an attendance figure of over 69,000.

Italy remains to be a major market for the Maldives tourism industry with over 71,000 tourists have visited the country in 2016 alone. Statistics show that the number is expected to increase by the end of 2017 and visits to fairs like TTG Incontri can only boost the number.
