Top quality fibreglass boat manufacturer Al Shaali Marine Maldives (AS Marine) received multiple awards during Maldives Boating Awards 2017. AS Marine received these awards during a ceremony held on 4th December at the National Art Gallery.
Maldives Boating Awards is a prestigious award for the boat builders and marine equipment service providers in the Maldives and several companies competed in this year’s awards.
AS Marine secured the Dockyard or Slipway of the Year Award for the company’s dockyard in Thilafushi, which can cater to 25 vessels at a time. In addition, the company also received Best Production Fibre Vessel of the Year (5 Meters to 24 Meters) for their 37 Feet Coast Craft Launch and Best Production Fibre of the Year (15 Meters to 40 Meters) for their “Island Hopper” vessels. The Best Boat Design of the Year Award was also secured by AS Marine.
Upon receiving the awards, Operations Manager of AS Marine, Mr Ismail Shareef said that it is a dream come true. He added ” We have proved that we are the best boat builders in Maldives now. And in future, we will be working to bring even better products and service to customers. Customers are the reason behind our success, and it is our duty to enhance our services to satisfy them.”
Apart from Al Shaali Marine Maldives, several other companies also received awards this year. The prestigious Lifetime Achievement was received by Mr Ahmed Zubair Adam of Blue Horizon and VAMCO.
