President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has highlighted the benefits of human resource development nation building and development. The President made this statement while speaking at the function held to inaugurate the harbour of Fainu Island of North Maalhosmadulu Atoll, and conclusion of the island’s Beach Protection Project.
Speaking at the event, the President stated that the key objective of this administration was to facilitate more opportunities for human resource development. He stated that broadening the education pillar in human resource development will enable building a youth population who can speed up the economic development process of the country.
Moreover, President Yameen reiterated that we did not welcome foreign interference into our domestic matters, and emphasized that Maldivians have the capability of deciding things on our own.
Furthermore, he stated that a leader’s success must be assessed based on the results attained in the areas of urban, human resource and social development.
In his speech, President Yameen also shed light on the work done by the administration to enhance resources needed for development and to bring in new foreign investments to the country.
