A local store that sells fitness equipment and supplements was robbed early on Wednesday morning.
According to the owner of “Athletica” in the Maafannu ward of the capital Male, a total of MVR 42,000 was stolen from the store. He said that culprits had gotten in to the store after cutting out aluminium door handle.
The incident has now been lodged with the police, he added.
The police have not made any official comments regarding the robbery yet.
