The Criminal Court has transferred a man, who was remanded after being caught with a haul of drugs, to house arrest.
The decision was made at the final remand hearing of the defendant held on Wednesday.
Judge Adam Areef had cited the defendant’s “delicate health” as the reason for transferring him to house arrest.
According to his lawyer, the suspect has severe injuries on three of his fingers and requires specialist treatment for rehabilitation.
The man, who was arrested after police found over 98 grams of ‘substances’ on him, is to remain under house arrest until he is sentenced.
