Finally an island in the Maldives you can actually afford to visit

Prices start from $250 per person per night – and include breakfast and dinner. Take us there.

The Maldives is the holiday destination that seems to be on everyone’s bucket list. But sadly, it seems the bluer the water and whiter the sand, the heftier the price tag, making it dream trip versus reality. Or so we thought….

Introducing Kandima Maldives – the new luxury resort that’s completely affordable with prices starting from $250 per person per night on half board (breakfast and dinner). Yep, we didn’t leave off any zeros.

While some stays on one of the 1000 coral islands will cost you $2300 a night (and some!), this resort, which is a quick 45 minute seaplane flight from the capital city, Male, is anything but ordinary.

Located in the Dhaalu Atoll on a 3km long tropical island, the newly opened Kandima features 274 stunning studios, beach and aqua villas, with nine different room categories to choose from, so you can be as budget conscious or extra as you desire.

But what’s even better is that you don’t have to save your Maldives trip for your honeymoon or anniversary. This resort goes beyond the standard ‘couples-only’ romantic candle-lit dinners on the beach, and provides a gazillion activities for everyone, hosting parties with international DJ’s, cooking classes, beach games, massage workshops, windsurfing, paddle boarding, and to save the best for last – cocktail tasting.

And if you’re all about getting a good #foodgram, well, you’ve got 10 bars and restaurants to choose from, dishing up different cuisines. Think Mediterranean feasts, Chinese buffets, and an outdoor grill.

Yep, definitely booking in that trip now.
