For Amitabh Bachchan, birthday celebrations are just a waste of time. While family and fans are going gaga about his 75th birthday on October 11, Big B is in no mood for celebrations. There were reports that Bachchan Sr would be flying off to Maldives to ring in his birthday with his big fat family. However, the Pink actor denied any such plans.
In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, he said, “Such a waste of time, and unnecessary fuss over my 75 years.”
A source close to the Bachchan family has divulged the reason behind this move. “With all that is happening around us — the killings, the scams, the scandals and controversies — he has lost the will to celebrate anything, let alone his birthday,” the source added.
Last year, Bachchan celebrated his birthday with fans and media, who presented him a huge Pink-themed birthday cake, numerous bouquets and gifts and a jukebox with his hit numbers.
