President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has arrived in Velidhoo Island of South Miladhummadulu Atoll today, as part of his current visit to some islands of South Miladhummadulu, Faadhippolhu and South Maalhosmadulu Atolls.
Upon arrival, the President was warmly welcomed by the island’s community. During his visit, the President will inaugurate the island’s harbour.
As part of his three-day tour of South Miladhunmadulu, Faadhippolhu and South Maalhosmadulu Atolls, the President visited Maalhendhoo Island, Hen’badhoo Island and Holhudhoo Island earlier today; and inaugurated the harbour and the mosque in Maalhendhoo Island, attended the groundbreaking of sewerage system in Hen’badhoo Island and inaugurated the harbour in Holhudhoo Island.
