Employees Allowed to Take Leave for 15 Days without Medical Certificate

The parliament has passed an amendment bill to the employment law allowing employees to take leave for 15 days in a year without submitting a medical certificate.

Before this amendment, employees had to submit a medical certificate for every leave taken. They were not allowed to take leave for more than two consequent days without presenting a medical certificate. However, employees can take paid leave for a maximum of 30 days in a year.

Now, from the 30-days paid annual leave, employees will be able to take leave for 15 days without presenting a medical certificate, if it does not exceed more than two consecutive days.
