Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has signed with Maldives Ports Limited to design and build Gdh. Thinadhoo Regional Port.
During an event held at Gdh. Thinadhoo yesterday, CEO Adam Azim signed the contract on behalf of MTCC, while CEO of MPL, Shahid Ali signed on behalf of MPL.
The scope of the project includes dredging 4500cbm from the channel basin, laying a 3000sqm RC slab pavement, establishment of a stormwater management system, and fencing the port area.
MPL has stated that work under the second phase of the project – which includes constructing warehouses and an administrative building – will be assigned to MTCC within the coming two weeks.
The project is valued at MVR 15 million and is expected to be completed within 45 days.
