Telecom operator Dhiraagu has recorded a profit after tax of MVR 188 million during the fourth quarter of 2020.
Financial records released by Dhiraagu show the company generated MVR 621 million as revenue in the fourth quarter. This includes MVR 366 million from mobile services, MVR 241 million from fixed broadband service, and MVR 13,865 from other services.
Established in 1988, Dhiraagu is now one of two telecom service operators in the Maldives. 52 per cent of the shares at Dhiraagu are owned by BTC Islands Limited (Batelco), 41.8 per cent by the Maldivian government, and the remaining 6.2 per cent by the general public.
