Villa College has now launched four new engineering courses, designed to create the ideal pathway for students to pursue an illustrious career in this field.
“We always say that Villa College is a trendsetter,” said Dr. Ali Najeeb, Vice Rector of Villa College. “At Villa College, we aim to introduce not only the most popular courses in the market, but also the most beneficial courses to our community as a whole.”
According to Dr. Najeeb, the college has made a hefty investment into the launch of these new programs. As such, five engineering labs are currently being constructed, and about MVR 10 million will be spent on the establishment of the new faculty.
The new engineering courses include one Foundation course, and three Bachelor’s Degree courses with Honours. Applications for all four courses are now open for interested parties.
1. Foundation in Engineering
This is the ideal pathway to qualify for a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. This programme incorporates core engineering subjects – mechanics, electricity and magnetism, robotics and computer programming – to provide a thorough basis for undergraduate study.
The duration of this foundation is 1 year, awarded by Villa College.
2. Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Honours)
Become a qualified professional Electrical and Electronics Engineer! This degree covers vital engineering fields such as electrical power generation, micro and nano electronics, robotics and automation, as well as mobile and satellite communication.
Students are provided with state-of-the-art laboratories and modern simulation tools. The duration of the course is 4 years, awarded by Villa College.
3. Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours)
This is the ideal pathway for those interested in becoming a professional Mechanical Engineer. This Bachelor’s programme incorporates core engineering subjects such as mechanical design, CAD, fluid dynamics, robotics and automation, and marine engineering.
The course duration is 4 years, awarded by Villa College, and will provide graduates with a wide scope for employment opportunities.
4. Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering (Honours)
If you’re looking to become a professional Mechatronics Engineer, this course is an excellent pathway. Mechatronics Engineering is one of the vital engineering fields that covers various important sectors such as mechanical design, manufacturing processes, mechanics, CAD/CAM, electrical and electronics engineering.
Students will be provided with state-of-the-art laboratories and modern simulation tools. The duration of this course is 4 years, awarded by Villa College.
