The American Center Maldives (ACM) has announced that it would be hosting an online workshop by the name of ‘Beyond Fake News’, focusing on media literacy and fact-checking for journalists in the Maldives.
According to ACM, they will be hosting the one-day webinar on November 5. It will be held via the online platform Zoom at 4 pm and is expected to last approximately two hours.
Participating journalists will get the opportunity to hear and learn from 4 experienced media professionals in the Maldives. They are:
- Mohamed Junayd — Maldives Correspondent for Reporters without borders
- Nasma Abdul Muhsin — Media Professional
- Ali Naafiz — Freelance writer and PR Consultant
- Moosa Latheef — Editor of Mihaaru (Local media outlet)
