The latest statistics by the Ministry of Tourism reveal that there are 26 airlines currently operating to the Maldives.
On Thursday, the Ministry released its Tourism Status Update which outlined the airlines operating to the country as of 6th January 2021. They are:

- Edelweiss Air
- Lufthansa
- Azur Air Russia
- Turkish Airlines
- Qatar Airways
- Fly Dubai
- Emirates Etihad Airways
- GoAir
- IndiGo
- Air India
- Sri Lankan Airlines
- Aeroflot
- SpiceJet
- Azur Air Ukraine
- Air Astana
- Air Astana
- Air Seychelles
- Air France
- Silk Air
- Gulf Air
- Austrian Airlines
- Condor
- Air Vistara
- Uzbekistan Airways
- Ukraine International Airlines
Furthermore, the statistics reveal that from 1st January 2021 to 6th January 2021, a total of 18,086 tourists arrived in the Maldives.
The top source market for the tourist arrival was Russia with 5,331 arrivals, followed by India with 1,816 tourist arrivals. Ukraine stood third with 1,779 tourist arrivals. Other top source markets include Kazakhstan, Romania, Germany, France, U.S.A, and Uzbekistan.
