Three people were injured in an accident that took place late on Sunday night in the island of Thinadhoo in southern Gaafu Dhaalu atoll.
The accident took place at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night when two motorbikes collided with each other.
Two men, and a woman had to be hospitalised at Thinadhoo Regional Hospital, the police revealed. However, the extent of their injuries was not divulged.
A witness at the scene told Mihaaru that one individual sustained serious head injuries as he had hit his head during the accident and was immediately knocked unconscious.
The witness said that the other two were not seriously injured and were able to immediately stand up, but that one individual had sustained injuries to his rib.
