Club WAMCO will face Club Immigration in the second semifinal of Club Maldives Cup 2019 at 22:00hrs tonight.
WAMCO and Immigration came to the semifinal after the penalty shootouts. WAMCO defeated the most successful team of the tournament, STO, after a 0-0 draw at the full time.
When asked about Club Immigration, the tireless defensive player Hussain Qassan Labeeb (Hussy) of WAMCO said that he expects a hard time in defending against Immigration.
“Immigration is in a good shape. Their attack has been deadly. Feydhoo Ibbe is having a perfect tournament. So it will be really hard for us tonight. But I believe everything would go well, on our favour”, Hussy said.
On the other hand, Club Immigration defeated Prisons Club in dramatic quarterfinal action. The normal time ended 3-3, with few twists towards the final whistle. Immigration’s experienced goalkeeper Tholaal Hassan saved two penalties in the shootout.
Club Immigration Captain Ahmed Farrah said about tonight’s semifinal that, it is going to be a tough match as WAMCO had a consisted game so far in the tournament.
“On my opinion, WAMCO is the only team who had played a consistent game throughout the tournament. We have huge respect for them on that regard when we face them tonight”, Farrah said.
