WAMCO commences waste management in Maldives south

A vehicle taken to Addu for waste collection

Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) on Saturday commenced waste disposal and management in the southernmost atoll of Addu in the Maldives.

The service previously provided by Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) was handed over to WAMCO by the government on March 26. Hence, all clients must be re-registered to WAMCO to receive the service.

Managing Director of WAMCO Ibrahim Fuad said that registration forms will be distributed by WAMCO’s teams.
