Two suspected foreign drug peddlers arrested in Bengaluru; LSD, hashish oil seized

 

BENGALURU: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday arrested two foreign nationals for alleged involvement in drug peddling, and seized marijuana and LSD among other drugs from them. One of the men, Anil Ahmed, had in 2016 smuggled hash oil at Kempegowda airport but was absconding till now.

According to a statement issued by the NCB Zonal Unit, Anil Ahmed (35), a Maldives national and Nigerian national Yakubu Usma (30) were arrested from a house in CMR layout in Chellikete, Bengaluru. Officials seized 48 grams of hashish oil, 430 grams of marijuana, three grams of methamphetamine and 5 blots of LSD from them. They were allegedly selling drugs to local distributors.

The NCB officials said Anil Ahmed was also involved in smuggling hashish oil in November 2016 in Kempegowda international airport but was absconding since then.
