Police on Thursday arrested two people over setting fire to a judge’s motorcycle in the island of Kanduhulhudhoo in Gaafu Alif Atoll.
According to Police, the suspects are two men aged 22 and 30. Mihaaru understands that the duo had threatened Judge Hassan Didi before dousing his motorcycle in petrol and torching it while the judge was praying in the mosque at dawn Thursday.
The motorbike has been burnt beyond use while another motorcycle parked next to it, which belongs to a teacher, was also heavily damaged.
Judge Hassan Didi has claimed that it was an act of revenge after he warned the two men a few times against reckless driving.
