Match Day Three was made fascinating when Mohamed Ziyad (Akko) of Team FSM proved that “experience is the best teacher”, by playing a vital role in their draw against Club Avsec last night. FSM made a magical comeback by scoring three goals in three minutes to equalize the match 4-4.
Another thrilling action of the Match Day was when Fen Club grabbed a late equalizer against MMA Social Club to secure a point.
Match Day Three action of CMC 2018
Team FSM played against Club Avsec in the seventh match of the tournament. Club Avsec took a quick lead just after two minutes from kick-off, from a goal by Ahmed Nasih. However, Hassan Shah equalized in the 11th minute for Team FSM.
Five minutes later, Team Avsec scored two goals in two minutes to make the score 3-1, where Ahmed Nasih scored his second of the night, and Naseef Hassan (Peytu) scored the third goal.
After a competitive play, Naseef scored his third goal in the 27th minute of the game to complete his hat-trick.
However, dedicated effort from Team FSM paid off with three goals in the dying minutes of the game. A brace from the experienced Mohamed Ziyad (Akko) and a goal from Abdulla Shafeeu Hashim (Aily) equalized the game 4-4.
The veteran player Akko was awarded the Man of the Match.
In the Group D action, Dhiraagu won against Maldives Gas 5-2 to top the Group. Naaif Shafeeg scored a hat-trick for Dhiraagu, whereas Mohamed Rifau (Aska) and Fauzan Habeeb (Fau) scored a goal each. Both goals from Maldives Gas were scored by Ahmed Rsheed (Ammaday).
In the remaining matches of the Club Maldives Cup 2018 of the night, Ooredoo won easily against Thauleeme Gulhun by 5-0, while the match between MMA Social Club and Fen Club ended 4-4.
Mohamed Fashir of Ooredoo scored four goals and Haafiz Ahmed scored the other on their win against Thauleemee Gulhun.
In the 10th match of the tournament, Mohamed Muslih of MMA displayed brilliance in their draw against Fen Club. He scored a hat-trick and won the Man of the Match Award.
Match Day Three action of 18/30 WFF
The match between Ooredoo and Maldivian ended as a draw, 2-2. With this result, Ooredoo will now have to wait until the last match of the Group B on 24th March, to see their luck in advancing to the Round Two.
In the other match, MPL thrashed Fehi Fahi Club by a huge goal margin, 22-0.
Fathimath Joozan Zareer scored eight goals, Seyedehzahra Ahmadizadeh scored 7 goals, Aminath Shaamila scored 3 goals, Mariyam Rifa scored two goals, Farah Ahmed and Fathimath Shaliya each scored a goal for MPL.
