The Honorary Consul of Maldives in Nepal pays a courtesy call on the Vice President – Press Releases

The Honorary Consul of the Maldives in Nepal, Mr Nirvana Chaudhary, has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Abdulla Jihad, this afternoon, at the President’s Office.

During the call, the Vice President emphasized the excellent relations that exist between the Maldives and Nepal and expressed gratitude for the kind assistance extended to the Maldivians in Nepal by the Honorary Consul, during the devastating earthquake of 25th April 2015.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr Chaudhary extended gratitude for providing the opportunity to serve the Maldives and assured his assistance in enhancing the existing relationship with Maldives and Nepal.

Moreover, the Vice President and Mr Chaudhary discussed areas of mutual interest that could be further expanded including health cooperation, education, tourism and air connectivity.

The Vice President was accompanied at the meeting by the Minister of State at the President’s Office, H.E. Mohamed Naseer, the International Spokesman at the President’s Office, Mr Ibrahim Hussain Shihab and Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ms Aminath Shabeena.
