The five-star Emerald Maldives Resort and Spa has opened its doors.
The brand new resort, which opened in August, can be found in the Northern Maldives archipelago in the Raa Atoll and was designed by the Emerald Collection, an Italian company which is credited for their construction and management of luxury resorts in East Africa and the Caribbean.
The resort covers 20-hectares of land and also has a lagoon spread across 120-hectares which is home to 1.7km of house reef as well as its own private marina, which can be accessed by seaplane. The resort includes 120 villas which have been designed using bamboo, natural stones and “Langhi Langhi” leaves.
“We wanted to create a real sanctuary from the external chaotic modern life, able to accommodate both couples and families,” said Simone Scarapicchia, partner and director for Sales & Marketing for Emerald Maldives Resort and Spa.
The Emerald Spa has 10 airconditioned bungalows and will offer Thai and Balinese treatments. Guests can also enjoy a wide range of leisure opportunities including water sports, tennis, diving and an in-door gym fully equipped by Technogym. The resort will also offer four concept restaurants – the Aqua Restaurant, the Beach Club Grill, Le Asiatique and the “Amazonico Restaurant”.
“We want to stimulate the creation of long-lasting memories for all our guests by meeting and exceeding their expectations at all times, and by surprising them with what we call the “natural elegance” of the Maldives,” said Scarapicchia.
