Tess Daly gives a rare glimpse into family life with husband Vernon Kay and their daughters as she shares throwback snaps from idyllic Maldives trip for her 50th birthday
Tess Daly has shared a rare glimpse into her family life with Vernon Kay and their children as she has shared a series of throwback snaps from their holiday to the Maldives.
The TV presenter, 50, decided to commemorate the trip with an Instagram post as it was for her birthday.
Alongside the post, she wrote: ‘Perfect Paradise. For #tbt I’m throwing it back to the best birthday I ever had – on the holiday of a lifetime, in the beautiful Maldives back in April with the family.
‘Soaked up every super-special moment and even had a go at paddle boarding-while baby sharks were swimming all around us – you can just make them out in the photo! Special memories and truly a little piece of heaven on Earth.’
Tess looked radiant in one snap where she donned a white sleeveless top with matching lace shorts.
The Strictly Come Dancing host let her blonde locks fall loose down her shoulders and also sported a pair of shades.
Relaxing on a swinging seat, a breathtaking view of the ocean from the resort the couple were staying in could be seen.
In another photo, the whole family could be seen from the back sitting at an outdoor bar on the beach.
Tess and Vernon, 45, who tied the knot in 2003, are parents to daughters Phoebe, 14, and Amber, 10.
The couple has been stronger than ever in recent years after their marriage hit the rocks in 2010, as Vernon made a public apology to his wife after a set of saucy messages to glamour model Rhian Sugden emerged.
The father-of-two went on to promise live on BBC Radio 1 that he would no longer contact Rhian or the four other women he had been caught messaging at the time.
It was then revealed the pair had got back in touch in 2015 with Vernon sending hundreds of texts asking to ‘reconnect’ with the model.
Speaking in December 2017, Strictly Come, Dancing host, Tess told The Times: ‘All marriages have their moments.
‘Marriage is a work in progress. Vernon and I are just people, at the end of the day.’
