They’re the Australian cricket couple who married amid this month’s ball tampering crisis.
And now Usman Khawaja, 31, and his new bride Rachel, 22, have shown off their island honeymoon, weeks after a stunning Queensland wedding.
In a post featuring an ultra-relaxed Rachel barefoot on a pushbike, she told her followers the location of their luxury Maldives getaway was ‘paradise’.

‘Riding around in paradise! I can’t get over how beautiful this place is, I may never come home…’ Rachel wrote in the caption.
The shot shows the new bride on a wooden pier gazing out over the Amilla Fushi resort’s tropical turquoise waters.
The couple previously opened up to 60 Minutes about the decision, saying Rachel not adopting Islam wouldn’t be a deal-breaker for the relationship.

‘I never was going to put a gun to Rachel’s head and say you have to convert,’ Usman told the program.
‘I told her I would prefer her to convert but she has to do it on her own. Unless it comes from you, comes from the heart, then there is no point doing it.’
Rachel said her family and parents have been supportive of her decision to convert to Islam.
Newlyweds: In the lead-up to their April 6 nuptials, Rachel, who was raised Catholic, made the decision to convert to the faith of her devoutly Muslim partner

Last year, her mother even fasted for Ramadan with her.
Usman also admitted to Who! magazine following the wedding that he was ‘watery-eyed’ on their big day, and is proud to call Rachel his wife.
‘The wedding ring still feels really weird on my hand, but I’m so happy to be able to call Rachel my wife,’ he said.
