President Solih Flies to Saudi Arabia to Take Part in OIC Summit

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has flown to Saudi Arabia on
29th May 2019 in order to take part in the 14th Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) Summit.

The summit will be held on 31st May 2019 in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. In this summit, discussions on the usual difficulties faced by Islamic countries will be discussed. In addition, controversial issues which result in a difference of opinions between the countries will also be discussed.

Upon the conclusion of the summit, H.E Solih will also be performing Umrah before he returns on the 3rd of June. This marks the first official trip to Saudi Arabia since he was appointed as President of Maldives.
