President congratulates India’s new President-Elect – Press Releases

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a congratulatory message to the President-elect of India, His Excellency Ram Nath Kovind.

The President’s message reads as follows:

“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, and on my own behalf, I have the honour to extend our warm congratulations and sincere good wishes on Your Excellency’s successful election as the President of the Republic of India.”

“I am ever more confident that under your able leadership, India will achieve greater heights of progress and prosperity.
