Police and Fenaka Continues their decent run

Second round of 18/30 Women’s Futsal Fiesta began last night with six teams advanced from round one.

In Group-1 action, Police Club defeated Ooredoo 4-0, keeping a perfect defensive record of three clean sheets in three matches.

Nonstop attacks from Police Club just after the kick-off ended by a goal from Fadhuwa Zahir (Cheney) in the 16th minute of the first half.

Sabitra Bhandari scored the remaining goals for Police and completed her hat-trick in the 39th minute, whose exceptional performance is recognized from the beginning of the tournament.

Customs Recreation Club will face Ooredoo in the next match of this group on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Team Fenaka won against Wamco 5-1 to top Group-2.

Miss Treerachada Boonpload (Naam) scored the first goal for Fenaka. However, Wamco bounced back with an equalizer from Fathimath Afza (Goyye) in the first half. This is the only goal scored against Fenaka so far in the tournament.

Soon after the second half began, Aishath Sama of Fenaka took the lead for them, and nine minutes later, Naam extended their lead with her second goal of the night. Shahula Thaufeeg (Thuhthuna) scored the final two goals to make it a comfortable win for Fenaka.

In the second match of this group, MPL will face Wamco on Wednesday.
