Indians should stop going to vacations in Maldives. That’s the only way Maldives will understand why it need India or else it will not be business as usual.

MS I couldn’t agree more with you. Indian tourists should avoid vacationing in the Maldives and go to more civilised countries. Why visit a country that is both anti India and anti hindu? This applies particularly to non muslim tourists. The Maldivian elections are due next month and the ruling party is hoping for re election on an anti India agenda. Expect an overdose of islamic sermons from ‘religious scholars’, violence and intimidation of the opposition and endless recounts like the last time . Politically unstable countries are best avoided, especially during the elections.
