Food is an incredibly important part of your stay at Gili Lankanfushi and I was lucky enough to meet Executive Chef John Bakker while I was there. Canadian-born, John has worked in starry kitchens all over the world including the Ritz in London, but he found paradise at Gili Lankanfushi in The Maldives. John is utterly passionate about fresh and local produce and this dedication and love comes across in his absolutely wonderful food.
