No room for graft in Maldives development, says VP

Vice President Abdulla Jihad declared that the government does not wish its development projects to be shadowed by graft, reiterating that the nation must be developed and bettered without corruption.

Speaking at the inauguration of the national symposium of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), VP Jihad asserted that the government would not hesitate to take equal and fair action against any act of corruption despite the perpetrator.

Jihad sated that solutions need to be found through an educated and informed perspective for the challenges faced by law enforcement authorities in solving issues related to graft.

Adding that the symposium is a testament to state authorities working together to eliminate corruption, the VP urged the nation to have a common goal in achieving results through the Criminal Justice System.
