NEW DELHI: With the launch of a new ship by Costa Cruise, you can now go on a cruise tour from Mumbai to the Maldives during this winter holiday. The ship Costa Victoria takes you on a sea voyage from Mumbai with stoppages at Mangalore and Cochin in India. The journey ends at the Maldives at the end of the seven-day trip. In between, you are free to explore Mangalore and Cochin during the cruise halts.
Boasting of five restaurants, 10 bars, a theatre, casino, disco, open-air pool deck, Squok Club and a shopping centre, the Maldives cruise has 964 cabins. Around 250 of them come with a private balcony too.
Not just Maldives, you also get to explore the coastal cities of Cochin and Mangalore when you go the cruise from Mumbai.
Mumbai-Maldives cruise tour plan:
The Italian cruising company has announced fixed departure dates from Mumbai in between November 9 and February 29. The first day of the tour begins with boarding at Mumbai Port and after two more days of cruising in the Arabian Sea, you reach the coastal New Mangalore town. After a day tour, the cruise then takes you to Cochin on Day 5.
After another day cruising in the mid-sea, you reach Male Port in the Maldives. Visitors have access to the ship on the seventh night as well, as disembarkation is only on the eighth day morning.
Maldives cruise price, package:
The seven-night cruise tour comes at a price of ₹27,500 for an inside cabin stay, OceanView cabin comes at a fare of ₹34,500 while to get a balcony cabin you have to shell out ₹49,500 per person. The cruise package excludes taxes of ₹12,300 and gratuity of ₹5,740.
Children below 18 years of age get a free cruise tour if accompanied by 2 adults.

If you are carrying an Indian passport having a validity of at least 6 months from the last date of travel, you do not need a visa.
