MPL is hoping to defeat Police Club before the end of full time, without going to penalties to reign the championship of 18/30 Women’s Futsal Fiesta 2018.
Speaking to the media of Club Maldives, the assistant manager of MPL, Hussain Shareef (Goap) stated that the full squad is prepared for the historic final. The only concern ahead of the match is that they have to wear the second kit, leaving their formal blue shade kit aside.
He additionally said that having two foreign players in the attack of Police Club can be counted as an advantage for them. Both of them are Nepal internationals and look very dangerous in attacks.
On the other hand, from the two foreign players of MPL, one is as the goalkeeper, which makes them look a little lesser in strength than the opponents. However, MPL believes that their local players are capable of turning the match around.
“Police Club having two attacking foreigners can be counted as an advantage. But we believe that our local players have everything required in terms of skill and confidence, to turn the match around”, Hussain Shareef said.
Under the new rule of the tournament, a team can only have two foreigners. However, teams had the right to have as much as three foreign players earlier.
The final match will be played tonight (Tuesday) at 20:30hrs at Ekuveni Futsal Ground, Male’.
