Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has signed on as a platinum sponsor for the International Tuna Conference held in Thailand this May.
At a press conference held this morning at MIFCO, Managing Director, Adhlee Ismail said that the company is putting a lot of effort to promote the hard work of the Maldivian fishermen.
He said that the Tuna Conference in May is the largest conference of it’s kind in the world with over 800 companies taking part in it.
Adhlee said that the aim of taking part in the Tuna Conference is to promote the Maldivian tuna products as the golden standard.
The MIFCO Managing Director said that global market will be shocked by the eco-friendly Maldivian fishing techniques and the health benefits it carries.
MIFCO said that under the numerous marketing events for the Maldivian fishing industry this year, several marketing events planned in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. And next month, they would be taking part in the largest Seafood fair being held in Brussels, Belgium.
