The Maldives’ government announced Thursday that schools will be opened coming Sunday following a temporary close down amidst the viral flu epidemic across the Maldives.
The Ministry of Education decided to close all schools and universities last week, three days before the start of their biannual mid-term week of holidays, due to the spread of swine flu among viral fever and influenza in the nation.
In a statement, the ministry said that they made the decision to reopen the schools next week after observing the rate at which the viral flu has spread and the social situation over the ten days of break.
