Former minister of President’s Office Abdulla Ameen remarked that it is probable to not see President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s name in the ballots of Presidential Elections 2018.

Speaking at an opposition rally held Saturday, Ameen noted that during the campaign, President Yameen vowed to work along with all kinds of political ideologies only to shatter all of his promises along with high hopes after becoming president.

Stressing that the winds have changed, Ameen said that the required amount has now been achieved and that it is not expectable to have President Yameen’s name on the ballot paper.

Speaking for the first time at the joint reform rally, Ameen added that the efforts of the opposition is now a national duty rather than a political work.
