Two presentations have been delivered by the Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC) as part of the first phase of their athletes mentoring programme.
The programme has been designed to help develop talent within the country, with their instructors stressing athletes need to show dedication and desire to constantly work hard.
It is hoped that this will help to move the athletes up to a professional standard and allow them to impress at major events.
The first part of the programme was presented by Asiyah Abdul Raheem, which offered guidance through a presentation called “Good Nutrition – A key to win the Game”.
It was followed by a talk by Ahmed Marzooq, MOC secretary general.
His presentation was entitled “What If?” and looked at a 12-week period where he underwent training and dietary habits, which were reflective of an athlete.
