Maldives mobile subscriber base declines to 904000 in November

The Maldives mobile base declined to 904,140 subscribers in November, from 906,555 in October. Mobile teledensity also decreased to 252.07 in November from 252.75 in October, according to figures from the Communications Authority of Maldives. Of the total mobile subscribes, 111,724 were postpaid subscribers, and 792,416 were prepay users.

The number of fixed telephone lines (including payphones) also decreased to 20,457 in November from 20,522 in October, while fixed-line teledensity also fell to 5.70 from 5.72.

Maldives’ mobile broadband subscriber base grew to 270,230 users in November from 262,520 users in the previous month, while the fixed broadband user base rose to 36,312 in November from 35,922 in October.
