The National Bureau of Statistics has published figures indicating a rise of 2.9% in inflation between January 2016 and January 2017.
The report details some of the goods which had their prices increased up until January this year. The largest contributor was fuel (5.64% increase) because of a hike in prices in the international market, resulting in a 2.81% increase in the price of electricity.
The report also shows a marked increase to Secondary Education, which increased by 6.25%.
