Club Immigration humiliated Dhiraagu with a comfortable 3-0 victory to progress to the Quarter Final of Club Maldives Cup 2019. The current form of Immigration is believed to be their best in recent history.
The return of Mohamed Nizam (Nizambe), the man-in-charge, has been a boost for the Club, as it seems, who took Immigration to the final eleven years ago.
Ali Haisam (Chumpu) and Mohamed Imran have not delivered such an instrumental performance wearing Immigration’s jersey in the past years. However, they have been enjoying a wonderful campaign so far, with Ahmed Visam backing them and Ibrahim Mahudhee Hussain decorating the game.
The outcome also means that Dhiraagu’s Head Coach, Ahmed Irfan, is knocked out for the first time in three years without taking his side to the tournament glory. He had crowned back-to-back titles with MRDC and TCL in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
Ali Haisam scored the first goal of Immigration when Ibrahim Mahudhee assisted him from a free kick outside the goal area of Dhiraagu. Captain Ahmed Farrah extended the lead, with another perfect assist from Ibrahim Mahudhee. Finally, he did it himself when Ahmed Visam ran halfway to assist him.
Club Immigration will play against Prison Club in the Quarter Final on Sunday.
