Speaking to the media of Club Maldives, the captain of Customs Recreation Club, Husna Mohamed (Husy) said that their bitter defeat in the group stage against MPL is a lesson for tonight.
She further expressed that Customs will determinedly work until the final whistle, to do everything they could to overturn the group stage result.
“We are not going to look back into that result. But we will take those lessons with us for tonight’s rematch.
They (MPL) are a favourite team in the competition. They are stronger than us. They have two Iranians playing for them, who represent their country internationally. But we will tirelessly work until the final whistle to see any possible way to defeat them, considering all those factors”. Husna said.
When these two teams played in the group stage, Customs faced a sour defeat by a huge goal margin of 15-0.
Tonight is a historical night for Customs on the other hand, as this is their first appearance in the semi-final of 18/30 Women’s Futsal Fiesta.
Customs will face MPL in the second semi-final of the night, at 21:45 hrs.
