Hoarafushi Council Spends 6 lakh on Development of Health Services

Ha. Hoarafushi councils have spent 6 lakhs on the development of health services on the island. The money was given to the Hoarafushi Health Center on the 20th of March 2019.

Hoarafushi Health Center is to introduce X-ray and dental services, said Hoarafushi Council. Further for any health facility that is required by the centre. The budget to be used was taken from the allocated amount for social uses, the council added.

Hoarafushi consists of a population of over 3 thousand for which the council has plans to resolve a majority of problems faced by them. Hoarafushi council also spent 1 lakh on their school for the development of a shaded area where parents and students can wait during the arrival to and departure from the school. Additionally, funding for a bench for the harbour along with access to water for boats and dhonis which are docked in the harbour is also to be provided by the council.
