Hat-trick hero Bichard takes Public Works to the knockout stages

In Group-E, Public Works and Ooredoo secured round of 16 spots, after surprising results in the last matches of the group.

Public Works secured their place after defeating the group leaders Ooredoo 3-2. Abdulla Midhuhath Fahmy (Bichard) scored three goals in the opening ten minutes of the match. Goals from Ooredoo came in the second half, where Mohamed Fashir and Abdulla Zaeem, each scored a goal.

Thauleemee Gulhun was expected a round of 16 spot prior to the match day, as they were to face Aasandha, for whom the competition was already over. However, Aasandha defeated Thauleemee Gulhun 7-3, to end their round of 16 hopes just like that.

Ibrahim Hassan (Ibbe), Ali Hmadhaan (Ayya) and Ibrahim Nooradheen (Endi) scored for Thauleemee Gulhun. On the other hand, Ali Shafiu scored four goals, Ahmed Abdulla (Lily) scored twice and Ali Nadheem (Nadey) scored for Aasandha.

Despite the loss, Ooredoo advanced as the group leaders with the goal difference.
