Former Maldivian President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, Vice President Faisal Naseem and Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen, among others, visited Rawshan Jian’s parents to express their sympathies.

The family was in Male’ City to make visa arrangements when the tragedy occurred.

Male’ City Council has suspended W Construction’s license, and a number of high-profile figures have called for criminal charges against W Construction.
