When questioned by the press about his reaction to becoming the first visitor to the Maldives of the year 2019, Khalid said he had no words to express his happiness.
“This is a very special day for us, personally. This is our 10-year anniversary. This is my second visit to the Maldives. We chose the Maldives because of our experience here back in 2014. I have travelled to many places across the world. But never anywhere as beautiful as the Maldives,” said Khalid.
Resorts and guesthouses in the Maldives are full for the new year holidays with occupancy reported upwards of 90 per cent.
1.3 million tourists visited the Maldives in 2018.
